Taste the Eats and feel the Beats in Toronto’s Riverside neighbourhood! Riverside’s Annual Streetfest spans 10 vibrant blocks along Queen Street East between the Don Valley Parkway to just past world-famous De Grassi Street.

It’s all happening just across the bridge from Toronto’s Downtown Core.
The festival takes place alongside the Riverdale ArtWalk (Jimmie Simpson Park).

Riverside Eats & Beats Streetfest showcases:

  • Riverside’s family-friendly food outlets and unique small town in the big city atmosphere
  • 50+ local eateries and shops along Queen Street East serve food specials, sidewalk sales, and live entertainment. 
  • Destination points at four street closures including culinary demos, workshops, and entertainment with free live music ranging from Samba, New Orleans-style Jazz, Blues, Roots/Rock and Children’s entertainment.

NOTICE ABOUT ROAD CLOSURES, SIDEWALKS SALES & LIVE MUSIC DURING RIVERSIDE EATS & BEATS:

Our Sidewalk Sale permit will enable businesses and approved vendors to animate the sidewalk space along Queen Street East from Davies to Empire Avenue from 

 

9am-10pm, while maintaining a minimum clearance of 2.13 m from the face of the curb for unimpeded passage of pedestrians. Our Noise permit will enable amplified music to be played during the hours of 1pm-6pm.

At no time will Queen Street East be closed to traffic; however, we will have permits for four partial street closures during the festival including:

  • Carrol Street Closure: Where: North of Queen East to the south edge of the laneway (laneway will be left clear); When: June 1st: street closed from 9am-8pm; event hours from 1pm-6pm, during which time amplified music will be played.
  • Munro Street Closure: Where: North of Queen East to the south edge of the laneway (laneway will be left clear); When: June 1st: street closed from 9am-8pm; event hours from 1pm-6pm, during which time amplified music will be played.
  •  Broadview Ave Street Closure: Where: South of Queen East to the north edge of the laneway (private parking lot behind 705 Queen E will be blocked with permission of the owner). When: June 1st: street closed from 6am-10pm; event hours from 1pm-9pm, during which time amplified music will be played.
  • Saulter Street Closure: Where: South of Queen East to the south edge of the Queen Garden Centre (driveway blocked with permission of the garden centre); When: June 1st: street closed from 9am-8pm; event hours from 1pm-6pm, during which time amplified music will be played.
  • McGee Street Closure: Where: south of Queen East to the north edge of Graham Place Laneway (laneway will be left clear); When: June 1st: street closed from 9am-8pm; core hours from 1pm-6pm, during which time amplified music will be played.
