May 15, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Join us Sundays for outdoor community events in Toronto’s Riverside Common Park – enjoy local live music, fun activities, art, eats and shopping this spring, summer and fall!

What’s Happening @ Riverside Common MAY 15th:

Join us for a day of community greening and engagement at Riverside Common Park in Toronto’s Riverside neighbourhood!! Everyone is welcome to enjoy:

*The Recreate Place team will be on site from 10am-3pm getting kids, families, and everyone involved in imagining possible future uses of Riverside Common Park, and building stronger connections to the park. Drop by and share your ideas, build models with natural materials, help create a community collage and map, and get active with skipping rope, sidewalk chalk and more fun and opportunities to dream in this exciting space!

*Enjoy some herbal tea and up your Gardening know-how with Danette Steele, our local herbalist farmer, from 11am to 1pm. Danette will offer planting Demos at 11:30am and 12:30pm and will be available to talk about gardening and share plant wisdom throughout. So, bring your curiosity + your questions about gardens on balconies and in small spaces. Seeds and urban gardening hand-outs will be available so you can green up your own garden space at home!

*Get your spring planting started with our spring planting activity area (for kids of all ages!) – materials supplied for free by Riverside BIA

*Live Music by Murray Drive Band

*More fun, for everyone!
