As part of ArtworxTO, artist Jessica Lin’s The Serenity Experience in Riverside aims to bring calm and spark joy during these challenging times.

It’s an immersive public art exhibit in Toronto’s Riverside neighbourhood which took place in winter 2021 along Queen Street East. The exhibit featured ten illuminated window installations hosted by local businesses along Queen Street East between the DVP and De Grassi Street hat activated nightly from dusk to midnight, along with interactive online and virtual components, accessible anytime.

The artwork explores the question of what triggers our brain to feel calmness and happiness, and suggests ideas as to how we can deliberately harness this to increase our sense of personal well being.
