Textile Scraps Reimagined Workshop
August 30 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Event Navigation

In support of the Textile Museum of Canada’s reopening, join TMU instructors and fashion designers Tricia Crivellaro and Dan Dwir for a creative textile-scrap workshop and fundraiser!
Participants will be introduced to Tricia’s creative practice with textile scraps, while Dan will share the story of his fashion brand and discuss the provenance of the materials. The session will also showcase approaches to reusing fabric scraps.
In this workshop, participants—working solo or in teams—will use frames and repurposed materials to create unique artworks through open-ended experimentation. No skills needed—just imagination!
Participants will keep their final textile artworks and will have the opportunity to showcase them in a special exhibition celebrating the Textile Museum’s Fall reopening.
Admission: $40 (materials included). All proceeds will go to the Textile Museum. Additional donations are welcome.
Registration is required—please register via Eventbrite.
When: Workshop: August 30th, 12 – 4 PM / Apero: 4 – 6 PM
Where: 717 Queen Street East, Toronto, ON, M4M 1H1, buzzer 369, second floor (no elevator).
Feel free to bring snacks, as there will be no lunch break—though there are plenty of food options nearby.
Don’t forget: We’ll gather for an apéro from 4–6 pm to celebrate our creative explorations and enjoy more time to connect and share ideas. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
