Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside Block Party – Your Live Music Guide

The Beaches Int’l Jazz Festival is back in Toronto’s Riverside neighbourhood with The Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside BLOCK PARTY on July 5-7th!! 

The admission to the event is free and a mixture of music and vendors will be present for everyone. Spend your weekend with the relaxing sounds of Riverside and Leslieville, and come dine in the neighbourhoods’ fabulous local cafes and restaurants!

If you’re thinking about heading out to the festivities, here’s a heads up on the exciting lineup! Sounds of Leslieville & Riverside Poster 2019 page 2The party starts on Friday, July 5th at 7pm until 10:30pm with musicians jamming out on Lewis, Saulter, Boulton, Degrassi, and McGee!

MOKA will kick things off on Lewis with music from the Caribbean, Latin America and more.

Stacey Renee will be entertaining crowds at Saulter, a Toronto Singer, Songwriter, Performer & Indie Rock Artist, Stacey has entertained crowds across North America. 

Soul Session will be at Boulton performing soul music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, & 90’s – Soul Sessions will swing the crowd through songs from four different eras with a live band and amazing vocalists. 

Toronto All-Star Big Band plays swing music from the 1930’s and 40’s, comprised of members aged 16-22, listen to them at Degrassi! 

Soukustek will be at McGee, they combine the rhythms and the sounds of guitars from Africa and seamlessly blend them with the flavour of the Colombian Caribbean.

On Saturday, July 6th the block party is all day afternoon from 2pm-6pm with musicians playing the afternoon away on Lewis, Saulter, Boulton, and McGee.

The Chicago Project will start things off on Saulter with t0 share some of the amazing songs of Chicago. They are a dynamic 9-piece band that includes a 3-piece horn section. 

United Soul will bring you a smokin’ rhythm section accompanied with 70’s funk and soul music with a modern twist on Boulton.

Megacity Swing Band will be at McGee performing original songs. They are a full sized jazz band and perform jazz, Latin, and swing tunes in Toronto.

On Saturday evening from 5pm-9pm the block party in Riverside will feature a similar lineup as Friday evening, new performances include… The Jerome Tucker Band on Saulter playing funky rhythm and blues, and The Rockin Mojos on Degrassi performing blues songs with an edge.

On Sunday, July 7th, musical performances will be taking place from 1pm-4pm on Lewis, Saulter, Boulton, Degrassi, and McGee. With performers from the previous days, make sure to dance to your new favourite musicians or visit another street for a new musical adventure!
