Streetcars are scheduled to return at approximately 3pm on Saturday, July 19.
A sincere thank-you to Riverside BIA members , residents and visitors for your patience and support throughout the Queen/Broadview TTC construction to make important improvements to our infrastruction. This afternoon, the BIA received the following notice from the TTC:
TTC Queen streetcars resume regular routing Saturday July 19th
The Toronto Transit Commission has completed streetcar track upgrades at Queen St. E. and Broadview Ave. one week earlier than scheduled. As a result, all Queen streetcars (501, 301, 502 and 503 routes) will return to regular routing on Saturday, July 19 at approximately 3 p.m. This is the last of three major intersection closures on Queen St. E. during the past two months, with infrastructure and track upgrades having been previously completed at Victoria and Leslie Sts.
The TTC thanks all of its customers, as well as businesses and residents in Riverside and Leslieville, for their patience during this construction period. Investment in infrastructure is critically important in keeping the TTC moving.

Below is a photo of City crew working with world renowned artist – Eldon Garnet – installing his art on the NW sidewalk of Queen/Broadview. This artwork has been re-installed after the sidewalk and TTC Track Repair work. It is one of the finishing touches that need to be done before the intersection can be opened.
