“Service Above Self” – Making a Difference in Our East Toronto Community

The Toronto East Rotary Club, which was founded in 1965, has 35 members with a goal of “Service Above Self”. Since its founding in 1965, the Club has tried to make a difference in the local community and at the international level by offering assistance and programs to those in need. The Club meets every Thursday at 12:30pm at Whistler’s Grille at 995 Broadview Avenue. We welcome the attendance of anyone interested in learning more about Rotary and the Toronto East Club.

As part of the celebrations for the Club’s 50th Anniversary, it plans to contribute $100,000 to local community and international projects. In addition to individual donations, the Club raises its funds from four major fundraising efforts

  • Mardi Gras (March)
  • Ribfest  (Canada Day)
  • Golf Tournament (September)
  • Arts and Crafts Sale  (November)
