Come out and experience Riverside Walks on August 8th featuring the launch of Riverside’s expanded Sports Mural (10:30AM at Munro Street), Vocalwork Children’s Choir Performance (11AM-12PM at Munro Street), Riverside Culinary Walk (1PM-3:30 at participating businesses along Queen East), the Toronto Flower Market (10AM-3PM at 659 Queen East) and Riverside Sidewalk Shopping (12PM-6PM all along Queen East from the DVP to Empire Avenue). So much fun is in store!
Vocalwork Children’s Choir will be at Munro Street showcasing their wonderful vocal talents. Vocalwork is a nonprofit organization that gives children and youths opportunity to learn, practice, and showcase their vocal instrument. They incorporate all vocal genres and focus mainly on the voice as the practiced instrument.
Vocalwork provides professional coaching in singing, choir, rapping, chanting, spoken-word, poetry and storytelling. They believe that “the voice can be a conductor of positive energy when used in an art form.” Coaching and working closely with each student, they focus on performance skills and experience, and inspire students to build confidence and accomplish their goals. Students are currently performing in many events all over Ontario to promote Canadian culture and showcase their vocal artistry.
