Be part of History: CALL OUT for Volunteer Torch Bearers for June 5 Bridge Lighting Event!

Would you like to be part of a unique moment in Riverside’s history?

We are looking for 10-15 enthusiastic Riverside residents or business owners of all ages to be Torch Bearers in our Riverside Bridge Lighting Parade on the evening of June 5th. Our Torch Bearers will lead our public parade with Samba Toronto from McCleary Park, west along Queen Street East and in the Riverside neighbourhood to the foot of the Riverside Bridge.

Our public Bridge Lighting festivities start at McClearly park (Queen St E/McGee) at 6:30pm. Samba Toronto will kick off our parade at 7:45pm. Torchbearers will carry and pass the Riverside torch, created by a local artist!

Torchbearers should be excited to help raise enthusiasm and guide the way for our community parade. We will be briefly introducing each Torchbearer at McClearly Park before kicking off the parade.

CONTACT US to be a Riverside Torch Bearer at marketingassistant@riversideto.com or 416-466-8167. Simply tell us who you are and why you would be a great torch bearer!
