What’s New, Pussycat? Tom Jones Swings by the Opera House this Wednesday…

Jones signs his new autobiography

“Highly enjoyable read”: – Daily Mail, London

– If I Only Knew, Tom Jones

He’s a singing legend that has sold more than 100 million records with 36 Top 40 hits in the UK and 19 in the USA. And this Wednesday night (Nov 25th) at 7 p.m. he swings by the Opera House at 735 Queen St. E. to sign copies of his new autobiography “Over the Top and Back.”  The event will include a 30 minute public interview.

Born as Thomas Jones Woodward in Glamorgan, South Wales, Jones was at the forefront of the British musical invasion of the mid-Sixties along with The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Petula Clark with hits such as “It’s Not Unusual,” “Delilah,” “She’s a Lady” and the theme from the James Bond film “Thunderball.”  With his passionate performances, rich baritone and swiveling hips, he inspired women everywhere to pelt him with their undergarments. He was knighted in 2006.

Rules for the event say that Jones will only sign copies of his book and that candid photography is permitted but no posed selfie photography or video.

Requests for physical contact will not be allowed… he’s 75, you know… and a final request from organizers:

“Please — No throwing of gifts or clothing of any kind.”

– If I Only Knew, Tom Jones

UNTITLED Establishes a Good Reputation For Their Name in Riverside

UNTITLED (1)

UNTITLED, located in Riverside at 792 Queen Street East, is the newest salon Flaunt Boutique. They had a soft opening at the end of October, showcasing their airy open space revealing hints of proprietor Ivan Gibski’s progressive sustainable approach.

Awash in light from the 2-story wall of windows, full hair services are available and the space will be expanding to include a mirror-free colour-set counter with complimentary nail colour samples and touch ups, as well as refreshments, coffee (and who knows what other lounge benefits could be available for you in the coming months!!).

Everything from their decor to the product they sell has a sustainable intention – Ivan designed and built UNTITLED to be a new type of salon/lounge. They’ve included a living wall in the front (to beautify the space and help clean the air) and as you move to the back you can see the upcycled art space, a column of old hair dryers backlight in behind opaque glass; even the washroom doors are re-purposed reclaimed wood doors cut and put back together into a wooden mosaic.

All their hair product selected for use on your hair and to bring home or to give as a gift, is the most sustainable, socially-responsible, and environmentally-friendly product lines they can offer: One of their hair wash product lines, Davines will actually break down to nothing in drain water, in just over 50 days.

BY CREATING BEAUTY SUSTAINABLY, WE ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES, OF THE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH THEY LIVE & WORK, OF THE THINGS THEY LOVE. – Davines

UNTITLED is bringing awareness to community, well-being and sustainability in a beautiful way.

The salon is welcoming new clients and professional stylists at 792 Queen St. East in Riverside. Visit http://www.untitledtoronto.ca/ or call 416-469-5454 for more info.
